What I’m listening to
I am a huge BABYMETAL fan. I’m always on the lookout for Japanese music these days. Second on my list of Japanese metal bands is Band-Maid. A very new band I’ve recently found and have gotten into is The Alex Jones Prison Planet. I’ve also been listening to Steel Panther, Crowbar, Vader, Obituary, and Venom (Cronos on vocals, of course). I’ve been listening to a lot of classical music online. Now and again I like pop-diva music, but that usually means “Britney Spears.”
These are bands that are in my library but only land on my iPod when I feel I need to revisit them. There are three main layers to my influences. The bottom layer is the “Big 4” thrash bands; Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, & Slayer. The middle layer would be Celtic Frost, Coroner, Kreator, Venom, Motörhead, and Voivod. And the top layer would be Obituary, Vader, Strapping Young Lad, and Napalm Death. The music I write may appear to have some punk rock elements from time to time, but it is all rooted in thrash metal.

Unless you count “Pinterest,” I’m not really into social networks at the moment. I would prefer to be in an active band, have a website specifically for that band, and then post links to the band’s social network accounts on that site. At this point if you find a personal account of mine on a social network, consider it something of an oddity.
